The Green Life Competition Winner is a "ROCKING CHAIR".
The rocking chair that won, uses the kinetic energy produced by rocking back and forth, to produce power for the attached OLED lamp. During the day it stores the power, and at night your can sit, rock and read a book...very cool!
According to Rochus Jacob, the designer, he was looking for opportunities to generate energy through activities we naturally do. I hope this inspires others to look at everyday objects and see how it can be improved upon.
